Modals are auxiliary verbs that


we write next to the main verb in
infinitive without the particle to.

 CAN ability to do something.
 CANNOT
 MUST obligation
 MUSTN’T
 SHOULD advise.
 SHOULDN’T
They can dance very well in
the disco.
She cannot play chess very
well.
They must wear uniform
at work.
They mustn’t wear short skirt
at school.
He should do the homework
at home very well.
The students shouldn’t go to
bed late.
If you want to learn English,
you have to practice,
