Hear what the Bible has to say
Three steps involved in faith:

1.Hear - Willing to listen to God’s word

2.Mental assent - Agrees that the message is true
3.Commitment - Yields to the truth and allowing it to become a
part of his behavior and life.

The more you listen to God’s word, the more your faith will
grow. Faith grows in proportion to the amount of ‘Word time’
one has. It will influence the directions that you take in life.

Biblical truth is often presented in isolated (topical) form
without a good understanding of how it fits into the Christian
life as a whole, promoting the compartmentalizing of the
Christian’s life.

Many, even in their seasons of devotion, fail of receiving the
blessing of real communion with God. They are in too great
haste. With hurried steps they press through the circle of Christ’s
loving presence, pausing a moment within the sacred time with
God. They have no time to remain with the Divine Teacher. With
their burdens they return to their work.

We must give ourselves time to think, to pray and to meditate on
God’s words. We will receive the uplifting influence of His Spirit.
The wearied frame and tired brain will be refreshed, the burdened
heart will be lightened. Not a pause for a moment in His presence,
but personal contact with Christ, to sit down in companionship with
Him—this is our need.
