Summary

The case study is about The Dabbawalas of


Mumbai. This is a type of buisness running in
Mumbai by some tiffin carriers and few
cotractors under Mumbai Tifiin Box Carriers
Association.
The tiffin carriers collect the tiffins from the
home of white-collar workers and deliver it to
the work place of these employees.

The white collar workers finds the food at
roadside eateries and in restaurants
unhygienic, unhealthy and expensive.
The tiffin carriers deliver hot,
inexpensive, clean and home cooked food.
The tiffin carriers delivers the food in
three steps.

The dabbawalas show that with the right

technological advancements and resources
the dabbawalas have done a tremendous
job .
