 Communication is giving, receiving or exchanging ideas, information, signals


or messages through appropriate media, enabling individuals or groups to
persuade, to seek information, to give information or to express emotions.
 Personal Communication:
 personal communication include conversations, email, text messages, online
chats or direct messages, personal interviews, telephone conversations, live
speeches, unrecorded course lectures, memos and others.
 Organizational communication:
 We define organizational communication’ as the sending and receiving of
messages among interrelated individuals within a particular environment or
setting to achieve individual and common goal.
Language

 “language” is a system of symbols that permit people to communicate or


interact. People generally learn these four skills in the following order:
 listening
 Reading
 Speaking
 Writing

 Procedures are the workhorses of a company.While policies guide the


way people make decisions,procedures show the how to “s”for
completing atask or proces
When we need procedure?

 We need a procedure when a process


 Is lengthy
 Is complex
 Is routine,but its essential that everyone strictly follows rules
 Demand consistency
 Involves documentation
 Involves significant change
 Has serious consequences
Three steps of procedure writing

 Step one (Gather information)- Before we start writing, gather


detailed information on the process you're making into a procedure.
 Talk with content experts as well as others who hold key information – long-
time staff members, stakeholders, technical staff, and people who will use
the procedure.
 Step two (Start writing) - When we write the first draft of our
procedure, don’t worry about exact words and format. The main purpose is to
include the information we need. Once we have done that, We can work on
the words and organization.

 Communication is an essential component of business. While communication is a natural


part of the human experience, it’s important to consider how you will communicate in a
positive and effective manner that aligns with your responsibilities and reputation as a
business professional. Communication is very important for all beings. Animals and humans,
alike, use their own separate languages to communicate with one another, because no one
can survive without communicating. Good communication is as stimulating as black coffee,
and just as hard to sleep after. Communication does not depend on syntax, or eloquence,
or rhetoric, or articulation; but on the emotional context in which the message is being
heard. People can only hear you when they are moving toward you, and they are not likely
to when your words are pursuing them. Even the choicest words lose their power when they
are used to overpower. Attitudes are the real figures of speech. Some proverbs
 When people talk, listen completely. Most people never listen
 The problem with communication… is the illusion that is has been accomplished.
 The right to be heard does not automatically include the right to be taken seriously.
