Idiom
- Once in a blue moon: very rarely, something that happens very seldom
Ex: My sister lives in Alaska, so I only see her once in a blue moon.
- a stitch in time (saves nine): used for saying that it is better to solve the
problem now, rather than leave it until later when it may be more difficult
to deal with.
Ex: John said to his brother, " You better bring your car to the shop
while it's still running, because a stitch in time saves nine".
- At the drop of a hat: immediately or in a way that shows that you have
no doubts about doing sth.

+ Compete /kəmˈpiːt/ (v): to try to gain sth and stop SO else from
having it or having as much of it.
- Competitive(adj): determined or trying very hard to be
more successful than other people or businesses.
- Competitor(n): a person, team, or company that
is competing against others.
+ Employ /ɪmˈplɔɪ/ (v) : to have someone work or do a job for you
and pay them for it.
- employability(n): the skills and abilities that allow you to
be employed.
- employable(adj): having skills or qualities that are necessary to get
a job.
- employee(n): someone who is paid to work for someone else.
Word formation

+ Period /ˈpɪə.ri.əd/ (n) : a length of time, a fixed time during

- periodical(n): a magazine, especially one about

at regular times.
