VI. READING COMPREHENSION — 3 items

Read the following text, and then answer the questions. (3 points each — Total 9)

Do you get eight hours of sleep every night? That’s how many hours people generally need to feel good
and do well at work or school. The problem is that a lot of people have very busy lives these days and may not
have enough time to get the sleep they need.
I’m a high school student, and I have to get up very early in the morning to get to school. I also have a lot
of after-school activities and homework, so it’s not easy to get to bed early. This makes my life a bit frustrating
because I like school and want to do well, but sometimes I’m so tired during the day that I fall asleep in class.
I found a way to feel better in the afternoon though, and it helps me not to get too tired and stressed. I
found a room at school that’s empty during the time we eat lunch, and I go there to sleep for about 30 minutes
after I eat a quick lunch. It’s not a lot of sleep, but it helps me concentrate during my classes in the afternoon.
