Introduction
Aero-gel was first created by Samuel Stephens Kastler in
1931.
Aero-gel is a synthetic porous ultra light material derived
from a gel, in which the liquid component for the gel has
been replaced with a gas without significant collapse of the
gel structure.
The result is a solid with extremely low density and extremely
low thermal conductivity.
Nicknames include frozen smoke, solid smoke, solid air, solid
cloud, and blue smoke, owing to its translucent nature and
the way light scatters in the material.

ADVANTAGES
Flexibility
Waterproof
High Resistance
Aerogel is more expensive, but definitely the best
overall type of insulation.
DISADVANTAGES
Health issues.
Requires more chemicals and usually more time.
High production costs
CONCLUSION
So it can be said that Aero gels have certainly
surprised us in many aspects and it has gradually
begun to fulfill a number of expectations, certainly for
a material that is destined to become one of the most
important materials of the 21st century.
