■ The 95 thesis

■ Aftermath of the 95 thesis

THESIS STATEMENT
The aim of this essay is to examine the
impact of the four foundational ideals
proposed by reformers during the Christian
protestant reformation.
THE REFORMATIONS

The intention of the reformations were to:

■ Review the Church

■ Renew the Church

■ Reform the church

REFORMATION STRATEGY
Sola Scriptura Soli Deo Gloria
01 By scripture alone Sovereignity of God 03

Sola Fide Sola Gratia

02 Redemption through
Christ.
The grace of God is
sufficient for salvation
04
SOLA
SCRIPTURA
This principle rejects any original
infallible authority other than the
Bible.
SOLA FIDE
It predisposes that the people could
not earn salvation by their works or
might but only through the grace of
God. The death of Jesus, therefore,
symbolized forgiveness of sin, which
Christ only could do
SOLI DEO GLORIA
This principle states that God is a
sovereign authority and autonomous
to all-knowing. It predisposes that God
has made a covenant with everybody
and that all his promises are sure
SOLA GRATIA
The foundation of Christian theology
on salvation as opposed to salvation
through works. It disposes that the
grace of Jesus and his love made
him die for the lost human race after
sin had separated man from God
SUMMARY

The four main classifications and types of turning points which

shaped the Christian reform movement are sola gratia, soli Deo

Gloria, sola scriptura, and sola fide.

QUESTION

In the case of Sola Scriptura, why was the Church mistaken for

1200 years on the number of books in the canon?
