times, men have been seen as
the core of the family.
• Most women had a very hard
time in ancient China.
• They were seen as far inferier
to men and were often
mistread .

would pass on the family name ,
while girls would eventually
marry into a different family
• Boys are more useful than a girl
because the can help with farm
work.

women was an offense to the departed,
parents and grandparent.
