Statement
of the
Problem
1. What is the
demographic profile of
the respondents in terms
of the following:
12
1.1 Sex - It showed that there
are a total of 121 female
respondents with 64.7% and 66
male respondents with 35.3% in
all strands.
13
1.2 Strand - There are total of 8 strand
with 11 sections composed of Grade – 12
GAS, ICT, EIM, H.E and Caregiving
that have 17 respondents (9.09%) while
34 respondents (18.18%) from STEM,
ABM, HUMSS.
14
1.3 Economic Status – It
shows that the average
income of the family is
₱16,000 above salary of all
the grade 12 respondents.
15
2. What is the
preferred curriculum
exit of the students?
16
It reveals that the weighted mean of the
tertiary is 4.32 which had a verbal interpretation
of high and the weighted mean of employment is
4.31 with the verbal interpretation of high while
in Entrepreneurship, the weighted mean is 4.01
which had a verbal interpretation of high. The
most preferred curriculum exit of the Grade 12
respondents is tertiary.
17
3. What is the relationship
between the demographic
profile of the respondents
and their preferred
curriculum exit?
18
The sex has a small impact while the economic
status and strand have a medium impact on the
curriculum exit preference of the Grade 12
students. The p-Values of the economic status and
strand are less than the level of significance
therefore, the two profile has a significant
relationship with the curriculum exit preference
of the Grade 12 students
19
4. What are the factors
in choosing the
curriculum exit by the
grade 12 students?
20
The factors that greatly affects the curriculum exit
preference of graduating senior high students are their
economic status in life and their chosen strand. It is also
cited that according to Hoto Garikai both parental
values and expectations from the family can play a larger
role in the career path of the children. And it is also said
by Fizer that children’s personality and interest can
influence their career choice.
