adalah kemampuan vital yg harus dikuasai peserta didik. Berikut
beberapa teknik yang bisa diterapkan dalam membaca secara efektif
dan efisien.
• Untuk mempermudah pemahaman dalam menjawab pertanyaan
berdasarkan text, berikut beberapa pertanyaan yang biasa dijumpai
pada reading comprehention.
1. Pertanyaan Skimming Informasi umum
 What is the topic of the text?
 What does the text tell us about?
 What is the main idea of the text/passage?
 What is the subject of the text passage?
 What is the author’s main point in the passage?
 What is the author primary concerned?
 Which of the following would be the best tittle?
 What does the paragraph probably discuss?
2. Pertanyaan Scanning informasi tertentu
 What is the name of the teacher?
 Where did they go after the meeting?
 When was he born?
 Who did she look when you met her?
3. Pertanyaan inference / Reading between the lines (informasi
tersirat/ menyimpulkan berdasarkan bukti)
 What can be inferred from the paragraph 1?
 What does the writer suggest in the last paragraph?
 Based on the information in the text. Why do you think …….. (the
man lied to his wife)?
4. Pertanyaan Detail Information
 Which of the following is true according to the text?
 The author mentions all the following……… EXCEPT …..
