 Uses:
1. For things that we decide to do now. (Rapid Decisions)
 I'll call a taxi for you.

 I think we'll go right now. (I just decided this right now)
 Which one? Um, I will have the chicken sandwich please.
 Uses:
2. When we think or believe something about the
future. (Prediction)
Typical verbs: believe, think, suppose, guess, doubt,

imagine…
 I suppose The President will not be re-elected at the next election.

 I think it will rain later so take an umbrella with you.
 I think you will find the movie interesting.
 Uses:
3. To make an offer, a promise or a threat.
 You look tired. I'll finish the dishes for you.

 I will do my best to help you.
 If you say anything I will kill you!
 I will have it ready by tomorrow.
 I'll drive you to work if you want.
 Don't worry, I won't tell anyone. (won't = will not)
 Uses:
4. For a habit that is a predictable behaviour

 My daughter will fall asleep as soon as she is put into bed.
 He will give up if he starts losing. He always does that.
5. You use WON'T when someone refuses to do something.

 I told him to clean his room but he won't do it.
 She won't listen to anything I say.
 Uses:
6. To talk about future facts. They will happen without

anyone’s intervention.
 She will be ninety tomorrow.
 Fossil fuels will run out.
 The world will get over Coronavirus.

 Uses:

2. When there are definite signs that something is going to

happen. (External Evidence)
 It's so cold! I think it is going to snow

 Uses:

 Typical expressions: (at) this time tomorrow, (at) this time next...,
on + weekday, in the next decade, etc.
 At this time tomorrow, we will be lying on the beach.

6. FUTURE PERFECT
 Uses:
 To talk about an action that will be finished before a certain time in the future.
 Let’s do homework now. Then we’ll have finished before the tennis match starts,
 In September, I will have studied English for three years.
 By  we often use BY with the future continuous and future perfect

tenses (”not later than” or “before”)
 By the time you’re 21, you’ll be playing football in the Premier League.
 Don’t worry about losing the race. Your running will have improved by the next
race.
