A plan to spend first morning hours

of the day with God through:

Early morning
preferably.
 Private place
away from
disturbance.
 Specific area for
consistency.
To make God so real in our life
by:
a. Praying – talking to
Him.
b. Reading His words –
He talking to us.
c. Meditation – Pondering
upon His message.
In order for us
to know God,
it is necessary
to spend a
consistent
time with
Him.
“In the morning O
Lord, You hear my
voice; in the morning
I lay my requests
before You and wait
in expectations.”
Time alone with
God – is the core
of our priorities.

 To some, 5 minutes of
personal devotion is too short, to
others 10 minutes is too long, so
let us settle for 7 minutes then.
1. Have your Bible ready the
night before.
2. Decide for place and time.
3. Have alarm clock.
4. Start after meeting your
personal needs.
1. First ½ minute: Prepare
your heart, thank Him for
the good night’s rest and
opportunities for the new
day. Ask for the Holy
Spirit’s guidance for
wisdom.
2. Next 4 minutes: Read the Bible.
Your greatest need is to hear some
words from God. Don’t race.
Read for pure joy of reading
allowing God to speak to you.
Perhaps, just 5 to 20 verses or a
short chapter. Meditate on what
you’ve read.
3. Last 2 ½ minutes:
Prayer. After allowing
God to talk to us through
the reading of His words
and meditation, then we
should speak to Him.
