General Subject
Our topic for this project was to go over wage gap and what that entailed in America
today. This is something that all of us were able to connect to and have a consensus that
this was a social injustice among the population.
There is an underlying issue with the way that minimum wage workers are treated because
of the way the government implies that there is a bare minimum that people are ensured to
get paid rather than the way a company values their employees’ work.
Issues and Goals

Issues Goals
Companies do not value the work being done Lower the qualifications for jobs of less work
enough to pay more per hour or higher qualifications for that 1-4 dollar
increase

Cost of living is outstanding a minimum wage Have a correlation of cost of living to minimum
job wage

Gender wage gaps Make sure men, women and those who wish to
not identify equal in wage
What is Our Organization
We are a group of volunteers dedicated to inform and educate workers, organizations, and
governments about the income gap and how it affects each and every single person who
lives on minimum wage, who suffer from the gender gap, and any other income gap issues.
Our goal is to see change in the federal and state governments minimum wage, and see
more legislation and accountability for income inequality.
How we can help
We will help by creating a website that educates
the people on each income gap issues as well as
ways to help.
Create petitions to raise both local governments
and federal governments minimum wage.
Provide informational pamphlets to those who
desire more information on the topic of the income
gap.

Social Media, and Websites

Social Media

1. Gathering support from individuals who feel the same about the wage gap.
2. Keeping up with news on wage inconsistencies as well as successes that is getting us
closer to closing the wage gap.
3. Information on the problem of the income gap and what actions that need to be taken

Websites

4. A one stop shop for all information on the income gap. This will also be a place
where we will list links to resources to aid those affected by the income gap.
“How Low is Too Low?”/ “What’s in the Gap?”

Our slogan is emphasizing the fact that the government thinks we are too far below them
and their status in order to offer more to wages. How low must a company value their
employees to not even match the cost of living on a full time minimum wage schedule?

The second line is going to be the narrative- what do they value that offers the wage gap
and what can me done to get rid of the contents of the gap. There are young people, under
qualified people, and underpaid women who will work harder to close that pay gap as long
as they know what to fix (this is something that can be done at work not through
stereotype).
