One night, a man named Dave Slatin arrived in the town of Woodend
in search of a hotel, but stayed at Mrs. Harrison's house. The next
day he left.

Then he came back, but this time as the owner of Mr. Smith's house,
he repaired that house and set up a store.
Village villagers gathered to discuss the new store, so I speak Dave said that one was
good at making bread, cakes, growing flowers; that they would sell it in their shop and
at a cheap price, the people agreed.

Anna was the new assistant at The Corner Shop, Dave lived on the second floor for
special orders

One day Greta Gordon appeared with diamond rings asking for
Dave, Dave took her to the special order room and then Greta
Gordon came out pale and her eyes reddened by tears.
Peter asked Anna to marry him, she accepted but they were getting
married next year because they needed money.

One day Dave invited Anna to spend the day together, Anna
accepts, but if he drives to the best cinema and restaurant, Dave
accepts. Later in the evening in front of The Corner Shop in
Dave's car was Anna, Dave kisses he
One day, Anna closed the store, but five minutes later the door rang.
He was a young man carrying a small suitcase and, in search of
Dave, Dave took him to the room with special orders.

Anna left but I turn the corner, once the young man left, Anna
asked about the small suitcase, the young man went blank because
of the fear and left. The young man was called Mike.
Dave told Anna to spend a weekend in London, Anna accepted
Peter argued with Anna because she spends the weekend with Dave.
One day, a well-dressed man, with a big mustache and a large briefcase, introduced
himself as a salesman, his name was Arthur Roberts and he had some letters from
ARICS. Dave called him Mr. Riseman and took him to the special order room . Anna
waited for him in the store when Mr. Riseman came out and offered him homemade
bread and accepted
Anna knew that Greta Gordon and Mike Bailey, who had visited Dave, came
out in a magazine or television, but found nothing of Mr. Riseman, so he went
to London, Anna came back from London and I heard on the radio that the
president of ICS He was dead and Mr. Riseman was the new president.

The next day Anna went into the special order room, turned on the light, had a
small table, two old chairs and many boxes, opened a box and found a doll with
broken arms and legs, another doll with a broken arm, another box had a
broken image of soccer players, another a broken plane.
From behind Dave took the diamond rings out of a box and they
were his because Greta Gordon paid him for his services Dave
grabbed her hard telling her not to marry Peter, who needed her, who
has powers, who is the mother of his children and that those children
would have strange powers, Anna kicked him and left the store.
When Anna arrived at her house she felt terrible and went to bed.
Anna woke up with a fever and they called a doctor, Peter stayed
with her next to the bed.
Afterwards, there was a scream in Anna's room since she died.
