III.-ABOUT THE WEEKLY READING COMPRENHENSION (VIRTUAL
EXPOSITION/ PHISICAL).
INTRODUCTION OF THE READING:
This book It is about a stranger who arrives in a small town and very strange things
happen since he is there.
CHAPTERS OR PAGES READ DURING THIS WEEK (PUT THE DATE)
PAGES READ FROM 20 TO 33, the chapters are:
6) A Quick Kiss.
7) Another Special Order.
8) The Football Match.
9) A Secret Weekend.
10) A Quarrel.
SUMMARY OF THE READING:
In these chapters we can see that David Slatin invites
Anna to spend the day with him, Anna is doubtful
because Peter would not like it. Anne finally agrees to
go out with Dave Slatin to Lidney. When they return
from Lidney, Slatin put her arms round her shoulders
and kisses Anna.

The summer passed and the store was busy, Anna


liked Slatin but she also liked Peter, one day at five
o'clock sharp a young man came carrying a small
case, Dave Slatin was waiting for him and they went
to the Special Orders room, Anna She left the store
and stayed in the corner waiting for the young man to
leave the store, so when the young man says
goodbye to Dave Slatin, Anna follows him, and
manages to talk to the young man who had a white
face and fear , then he took his car and left.

The next day at a football game, Anna manages to see on TV the player Mike
Bailey who was the young man who visited The Corner Shop.
Once Anna was alone in the store and Dave Slatin asks her to
pause a weekend in London finally Anna accepts.

Anna enjoys the end of senama, when she returned to


Woodend on Sunday Evening, Peter came to see Anna, he was
angry about his trip with Dave Slatin.
