UNIPART - FLT DRIVER DEATH
• 25 year old Steven Richards, a temporary worker at Unipart, Coventry
lost control of a truck he was driving down a slope to a basement area.

• The truck overturned and he was crushed to death.Mr Richards had not
been trained to drive fork-lift trucks.

• Other temporary workers in giving evidence said it was common practice


for unauthorised temp’s to drive trucks.

• Unipart were convicted under the HSW Act

• Civil Claim settled out of Court
