Managing Covid-19:

• Directing major CSR funds to setting up covid health support centers across India.
• As COVID-19 became a health concern, they were very early in deciding to shut all NVIDIA offices worldwide. They asked
employees to work from home and to make their loved ones their top priority. In a survey, 94 percent of employees said
they felt well supported by NVIDIA during the crisis.

Evaluating Environmental Initiatives

The NVDIA processors and Humanoid machines use A.I. to help relocate the algae to another part of ocean
and help in the survival of rare and extinct species of precious marine life.

All the emissions generated via transportation and logistics are reduced by efficient packing, transporting
large and bulk orders at once rater than smaller shipments. In addition, 55% of company’s logistics vehicles
are now electric all over the world.

A science-based reduction target aligned with a 1.5-degree Celsius warming scenario set in-line with FY25
and Green parks are established. So far 17 locations obtained 25% of operations to run on renewable
resources as per 2020 CSR report.

• Energy harvest charitable trust - Aims to reduce open-field burning by connecting small farmers with
machinery owners.

diversion-based irrigation.

Evaluating Environmental Initiatives

• Paving paths for alternative energy sources using agricultural waste. Improving air quality by saving
hundreds of acres from burning.

• Increasing vegetative cover and the irrigation potential of the land. Income through the sale of non-
timber forest products such as medicinal plants, leaves, and honey.

• Due to regular collection of segregated waste, living standards would be transformed by reducing
greenhouse gasses, creating visibly cleaner areas and eliminating the burning of waste.

Responsible Practices Framework

A sustainable development matrix depicts how a company uses its


 

resources to impact itself and its stakeholders in terms of sustainable


development.


Through its environmental practices, Nvidia exercises responsibility
towards preserving natural resources and using alternate energy
sources. The “green supercomputer” initiative is a perfect example.


Through its economic practices, Nvidia responsibly exercises parity in
pay, smart supply chain and smart cost reduction to benefit its
monetary and strategic partners grow its brand value further.


Through it’s social practices, Nvidia responsibly gives back to the
society, owing to its massive philanthropic programs and extends
help to everyone in need ( Helping people dealing with Covid-19).

Therefore, we see Nvidia being responsible in any way they possibly

Benefits of Responsible Practices to Stakeholders


Communities: Supported more than 5,000 nonprofits in 50 countries around the world. There philanthropic giving exceeded $25
million, with more than $16 million directed to COVID-19 related causes.


Customers/ Developers: They analyzed customer contracts to confirm that our priorities align with their requirements. They worked
directly with customers to report our supply chain status related to conflict minerals. Also partnered with customers to collaborate
and present on regulatory and conflict minerals topics and supported customer quarterly business review scorecard requests.


Employees: We sent several communications related to COVID-19 around employee safety, working from home, and mental health,
and built a website with information to help employees navigate work during the pandemic. We reached 47,000 candidates from
underrepresented communities in technology at university and professional recruiting events
