Compact Spinning System
Problems Associated with Conventional Ring Frame

 Improper integration of selvedge fibres into yarn.

 Hairiness in final yarn produced.

 Formation of large spinning triangle.

 Strength of final yarn.

Compact Spinning System

The Compact Spinning System is a process where fibre strand

drawn by drafting system is condensed before twisting it.

At present, the Rieter, Suessen, and Zinser companies have

produced compact ring spinning frames.

Methods
Aerodynamic condensing.
Mechanical condensing.
Magnetic condensing.
COM4 spin System of Rieter
 The delivery bottom roller of drafting system is replaced by
perforated drum.
 The fixed suction system under the perforated drum creates vacuum,
which generates air current on drum.
 This air current helps to condense the fibre strand.
 COM stands for comfort and 4 indicates ,Where COM stands for comfort
and 4 indicates the four basic advantages of COM4 yarn
1. Reduced hairiness.
2. Maximum strength and elongation.
3. Minimum environmental impact.
4. Unequalled wearing comfort.
Modern Machines
Compact-Spinning Machine K 47
Compact-Spinning Machine K 48
Advantages

 Improvement in tensile properties

 Improvement breaking elongation
 Reduced hairiness
 Improved regularity
 Further processing will be easy like Singeing can be completely eliminated.
 The end breakage rate is considerably reduced which again leading to higher
machine efficiency.
