The words waters, drink, cooks and eat are verbs

and the action in each sentence is happening now.
 A simple present tense of
verb shows action that is done
at the present time or at the
moment. It shows habitual or
regular action.
When talking about one person or animal, we
add –s or –es to the verb.
Examples:
laugh – laughs catch – catches
ride – rides teach – teaches
play – plays miss – misses
Rico laughs at my joke.
Mark plays basketball.
When talking about two or more persons or
animals, the base form of the verb is used.
Examples:
run – run go – go
bring – bring sing– sing
We go to the farm every summer.
My sisters sing in the choir every Sunday.
