Displaying moving message on notice board using Bluetooth
Internal Review on
16/09/2021
2
Abstract
• The system is designed to display a scrolling text message on notice board using Bluetooth .
• The design will simulate a moving message display using Arduino, where the characters shift from
3
Objectives
The main objective of this project is to overcome all the limitations and drawbacks of existing
system. It can be designed easy and also ease of implementation, and it is easy way to broad cast
message ,and it helps to update message when the user is needed, user can also follow group notice
board. using Bluetooth module ,we can send message at any distant location(10-15m) and can
develop a wireless notice board that display notice in form of text.
4
Existing method
GSM based notice board ,is designed by a SMS driven automatic display .this system is made use in only
some of geographical areas so that the same SMS can be received by number of display boards in a locality
using techniques of time division multiple access.
5
Draw backs
In wired notice board the connections are more complex, and in GSM based the system doesn’t
respond when there is a network problem
6
Proposed method
• The system can be operated by standing near the Arduino and can causally acquire the data
• Free service.
• prevent crowd .
• Easy communication method.
7
Introduction
• In this world Mobile Phones and the related technologies are becoming more prevalent
• Notice boards are one of the widely used from primary schools to convey a message at large.
• A lot of paper is used and which is later wasted by the organizations ,this turn and leads to lot of
global warming.
• It is proposed to design to receive message in display which can be used from mobile phone
• The Bluetooth module receives a message from mobile phone and message is extracted by
microcontroller from Bluetooth module and is displayed on Matrix display board.
8
Block diagram
• The pairing is done with Bluetooth and Android and serial communication is done with Bluetooth
and Arduino
11
Components required
• DMD :dot matrix display
• Arduino UN0
• HC-05 Bluetooth module
Software required
• Arduino software(IDE)
• Proteus
12
Arduino Uno
• It is a 14 digital input/output pins.
• Has 6 analog inputs.
• UNO means one .
• It contains ATmega328p 8-bit
microcontroller .
• It is open source device.
• It has 16MHz clock frequency.
17
Advantages
• No need to handle any difficult wires to display information on LED
18
Applications
• Education institutions and organizations.
• Managing traffic.
• Bus /railway stations
• Any public utility places.
19
Result
• This model can be used very efficiently in establishments like chain restaurants ,can be displayed
at all branches simultaneously, in colleges wherein students and staffs can be informed in no time.
• It can be set up at public transport places like railways, bus station, and airport and also at
roadside for traffic control and in emergency situations
• It is cost efficient system and very easy to handle. Latency involved in using of papers in
displaying of notices is avoided and the information can be updated by the authorized persons.
