RESEARCH PROPOSAL
TOPIC:
High blood pressure in young people living in
Zimbabwe.
Problem Statement
• Some young people in Zimbabwe are living with hy
pertension to then realise it later when it had
• already developed other worse healthy conditions
which include stroke, heart disease etc which
• could have been avoided by early detection and hig
h blood pressure management programs.
Justification
• This research is about finding out the existence of high bloo
d pressure in young people living in
• Zimbabwe and the possible causes of the existence of hyper
tension. This will help in understanding
• the problems faced by our youths and understanding the wr
ong ideologies and bad habits towards
• high blood pressure management and prevention. This will
also help in promoting and crafting
• innovative programs in awareness and management of this
condition by different parties interested
• in improving our health care awareness by 2030.
Research Questions
• Possible research questions which must be answered
by my research;
• 1. What are the predisposing factors that lead to hyp
ertension in young people in Zimbabwe.
• 2.What are the best measures of awareness, preven
tion and treatment of high blood pressure which
• must be followed by the young Zimbabweans, whilst
considering our economic situation.
• 3. To what extent do the young people in Zimbabwe
understand what is high blood pressure.
