Trend Monitoring

-Engine Trend Monitoring is the

collection and analysis of engine data
to detect deterioration, accelerated
wear and other damage
-By tracking the operational parameters
of the engine and correcting for
atmospheric conditions, it is possible to
monitor and trend the health and
stability of your aircraft engine.
 Inspection
• The inspection generally includes that of the
combustion chamber outlet ducts , covers and
turbine fuel nozzle for blockages , cracks , pits
and corrosion .
• The inspection of the first stage turbine blacks
and nozzle guide vanes for wraping , cracks or
foreign object .
 Maintenance
• one or more of the engine's major subsections
• support costs can be reduced if the capability
exists to isolate the failures down to the
lowest possible component in the engine.
