WHAT ARE THE

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
OF AN ECU IN A CAR?
An engine control unit (ECU) could be considered as the brain of
a car as it helps to regulate the performance of the engine.
It uses the data provided by different types of sensors located
in the engine bay, intake manifold, and exhaust system to do its
job.
If it fails to do its job, then it could bring down the vehicle to a
halt in the middle of nowhere.
So, everyone should be aware of the role played by an ECU in the
performance of a car.
FUNCTIONS OF AN ECU
 REGULATES THE TIMING OF IGNITION
 REGULATES THE AIR TO FUEL MIXTURE
 REGULATES VARIABLE VALVE TIMING AND IDLE SPEED
 REDUCES VEHICULAR POLLUTION
REGULATES THE
TIMING OF IGNITION
Spark plug generates the spark required to ignite the
combustion chamber of an engine.
However, the timing of ignition is a really critical aspect of the
internal combustion process.
Interesting, right?
