Medical instruments or Medical Supplies can be defined as :

• Items for medical use that are suitable for use in a health
care facility or in the home and that are disposable or semi-
disposable and are non-reusable.
• Items that are sold to be used for curative, prosthetic, or
medical maintenance purposes, whether or not prescribed by
a physician.
• Device or equipment that is of such a nature that it is not
generally used repeatedly and is usually used by a person for
a specific medical purpose.
