• Extremely poor
• There’s no money to help impoverished
communities build basic facilities like
schools and medical centres.
AFFLUENT /ˈÆF.LU.ƏNT/
• The state of being successful
and having a lot of money
• There’s a direct relationship between a
good education system and the
economic prosperity of a country.
MAKE ENDS MEET
• Rich:
• My grandparents used to be relatively well off,
but they lost all their money in bad investments.
• Having a lot of or a number of something:
• The city is well off for parks and gardens.
DISPOSABLE INCOME

• Without money, possessions, or
