Mission to accomplish

Project planning is a discipline for stating how to complete a


project within a certain timeframe, usually with defined stages,
and with designated resources.
Project management

• Project management is the process of leading the work of a team


to achieve all project goals within the given constraints.
• This information is usually described in project documentation,
created at the beginning of the development process.
• The primary constraints are scope, time, budget.[2] The secondary
challenge is to optimize the allocation of necessary inputs and
apply them to meet pre-defined objectives.
• The objective of project management is to produce a complete
project which complies with the client's objectives. In many cases
the objective of project management is also to shape or reform
the client's brief to feasibly address the client's objectives.

The advantage of project management

• Improve your chances of achieving the desired result. gain a fresh


perspective on your project, and how it fits with your business
strategy. prioritise your business' resources and ensure their
efficient use. set the scope, schedule and budget accurately from
the start.
• Clear, organized plans improve team collaboration.
• Defining everyone's role eliminates confusion.
• Well-defined goals improve team effectiveness.
• Defining a communication plan keeps your team aligned and
focused.
• Project management tools help increase efficiency.
The disadvantage of project management

• Loss of resources, scheduling problems, security issues and


interpersonal conflicts
• Planning has tendency to make administration inflexible. Planning
implies prior determination of policies, procedures and
programmes and a strict adherence to them in all circumstances
Project planning

Project sponsor

 
• The project sponsor is a person or group who owns the project
and provides resources and support for the project, program or
portfolio in order to enable its success.
• For example, a government project is going to have a state
official as project sponsor who will work with the construction
company's project manager.
Contractor

• a person or company that undertakes a contract to provide


materials or lab
• An example of a contractor is a self-employed graphic designer.
• An example of a contractor is a landscape architect hired to build
a deck. One that agrees to furnish materials or perform services at
a specified price, especially for construction work. A person who
executes the building or improving of buildings.or to perform a
service or do a job.
Outside stakeholder

• External stakeholders are those who do not directly work with a


company but are affected somehow by the actions and
outcomes of the business.
• Examples of external stakeholders are customers, suppliers,
creditors, the local community, society, and the government.
Project partner

• A project partner is a collaborating organisation who will have


an integral role in the proposed research
• 2 people who work evenly on the same task or project.
• Graig was not project partners with Mike because he didnt do his 
fair share of work
