Painless Giving

2 Corinthians 8:1-7
Introduction
• What do you feel when you give? Do you
feel joy like the Macedonians or pain?
1. Painless Giving Happens After We
Experience the Deep Grace of God (vv.
1-2).
2. Painless Giving Happens When We
Realize We Have the Financial Ability
to Do It (v. 3).
3. Painless Giving Happens When We
Believe in the Cause (v. 4).
4. Painless Giving Happens When We
First Give Something More Valuable
Than Our Money, Ourselves, to God
(v. 5).
Conclusion
• In verses 6 and 7, Paul encouraged the
Corinthians to make their giving consistent
with the way they lived the rest of their lives.
Paul also sent Titus to help get them started.
Some of us live well, learn well, and love
well and yet when it comes to giving, we
falter. Instead, “excel in this grace of giving.”
