FACTS VS. OPINIONS

FACTS
-It can refer to either something that is true or something that is claimed to
be true.

OPINIONS
- It's a feeling or thoughts regarding something or someone.
WHAT IS OUR TREND ABOUT?

• It used to be that comprehending the news was much simpler.


The distinction between objective, verifiable fact and author
and producer opinion was typically made by newspapers, radio,
and television stations. To separate subjective content from
more objective reporting, they utilized words like editorial, op-
ed, and commentary.
• A remark that can be proven accurate or untrue is referred to be
a fact. An opinion is a non-provable representation of a person's
feelings. Opinions can be founded on facts or emotions, and
they can also be used to deceive people. As a result, it's critical
to understand the author's intent and language choices. The
author will sometimes let the facts speak for themselves.

encourage sex, evidence demonstrates that the reverse
is true: accurate, comprehensive sex education does not
encourage sex; rather, it helps young people have safer
sex when they are ready.

• When viewing content that is controversial, such as 13 Reasons

adults must listen, take adolescents' concerns seriously, and be
willing to offer assistance. Remind students that mental health
