“Determinants of dividend payout on the

pharmaceuticals sector of Bangladesh”
 Introduction
 Dividend decision of any firm is a very crucial area of financial
management. It is one of the most important issues of interest in the
financial literature. Many academicians and researchers have
developed many theoretical models for describing the factor
considered by the managers at the time of taking dividend payout
policy.
Objective of the study

 To investigate the overall dividend payouts by the

pharmaceutical’s companies during the study period. A period
of study from 2013 to 2020 has been chosen.
 To identify the determinants of dividends in the
pharmaceuticals sector in Bangladesh.
 To examine the impact of determinants on the dividend policy
of the firms in the pharmaceuticals industry.

The main purpose of this study is to identify the determinants of dividend

payouts in the pharmaceutical sector in Bangladesh. The analysis of the
paper will be based on 25 pharmaceutical companies listed with the Dhaka
Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE),
Bangladesh, during the period 2013 to 2020.
 Conclusions
Pharmaceuticals sector is one of the growing sectors in
Bangladesh and curiosity of stockholders to invest in
Pharmaceuticals Company is increasing day by day. So, it is
necessary to know determinants of dividends and its impact.
So, I hope that my research will help the Pharmaceuticals
Company and investors.
