• The book talks about the concept of immediacy along with related
terms like affect, abstraction, fakeness and authenticity.
• It focuses on differentiating the actuality from assumptions and
looking beyond what is visible .
• The title initially mysterious by itself gives us a picture of what the
content of the book might be once we read the introduction to the book

• While the INTRODUCTION of the book talks about the content and the
concept of the book, the author uses the preface to tell the readers about how he
came about to writing the book.
• In his acknowledgments he thanks his friends and collaborators along with other
friends of his who encouraged him to write and his publishing press for
vouching to publish his book.

• The table of contents has 11 chapter titles along with preface


acknowledgments and introduction which come before the chapters start.
• While the pre content title of the book is written in a small font, the actual
chapter tiles are bold and printed in a bigger font size drawing our attention
the uniqueness of the titles which create a suspense about the content inside.
• The page numbers are mentioned beside the chapter with a small font

 This chapter like every other chapter is
formatter with the title and a subtitle
covering one whole page of the book before
the chapter content starts.
 The chapter describes buildings as actors
which posses different roles with regard to
the person viewing it.
 Even though the chapter lacks pictures, the
written content is such that it allows the
readers to visualize the content interpreting
it in their own way making it gripping all the
way.
