What is DBA?
 DBA -> Database Administrator.
 The role include capacity planning, installation,
configuration, database design, migration,
performance monitoring, security,
troubleshooting, as well as backup and data
recovery.
What are the Roles and Responsibilities
 Installing and configure the SQL server software.
 Planning storage requirements for the database system
 Creating Logins and users as per requirements and maintaining
system security
 Controlling and monitoring user access to the database
 Monitoring and optimizing the performance of the database
 Planning for backup and recovery of database information
 Backing up and restoring databases
 Generating various reports by querying from database as per need
 You should be able to work on Incident and Change request.
 Being DBA should be updated himself for any new features
released from Microsoft.
