CLASS OBJECTIVES

In this lesson, you will…

 Learn about the many promises that God has made to His people.
 Be confident that God will keep His promises of forgiveness and
eternal life when you trust in Him.
2 Peter 1:20-21 (International Children’s Bible)

7
He is the Lord our God.
His laws are for all the world.

He will keep his agreement forever.
He will keep his promises always.
GOD’S WORD FOR MY WORLD
In His grace and wisdom, God chose ancient Israel and made
a covenant, to bless them if they would obey Him. This is
what you can read in the Old Testament.

In the New Testament, on the other hand, you can read that
God made a new agreement with all people from every tribe
and nation who wants to be His followers.

Important promises of God were given in the Old Testament.

01

Nation
“The Lord had said to Abram, ‘Leave your
country, your family, and your relatives and go
to the land that I will show you. I will bless
you and make your descendants into a great
nation. You will become famous and be a
blessing to the others. “
– Genesis 12:1-2
01

Nation
“I promise that you will be the father of many
nations…”
– Genesis 17:4-7
02

Land
“The Lord had said to Abram, ‘Leave your
country, your family, and your relatives and go
to the land that I will show you.. ‘ But the
Lord appeared to Abram and promised, ‘I will
give the land to your family forever.”
– Genesis
12:1, 7 -8
03

Protection
“I’ve commanded you to be strong and brave.
Don’t ever be afraid or discouraged!
I am the Lord your God, and I will be there
to help you where you go.”
– Joshua
1:9-10
04

Forgiveness of Sin
“After the meal He took another cup of wine
in His hands. Then He said, “This is my
blood. It is poured out for you, and with it
God makes His new agreement.”
- Luke
22:20
04

Forgiveness of Sin
“Christ never sinned! But God treated Him as
a sinner, so that Christ could make us
acceptable to God.”
-2
Corinthians 5:21
05

Eternal Life
“Sins pays off with death. But God’s gift is
eternal life given by Jesus Christ our Lord.”
- Romans
6:23
