    The ASSURE model is a 6-step instructional system that teachers can use to develop lesson plans integrating technology and media. The 6 steps are: 1) Analyze learners, 2) State objectives, 3) Select methods and media, 4) Utilize media and technology, 5) Require learner participation, and 6) Evaluate and revise. The model focuses first on analyzing learners considering their skills, preferences, and backgrounds. It then guides teachers to state clear and specific objectives and select appropriate instructional methods, media, and technologies to meet the objectives and needs of learners.

    The Assure model is an instructional system or
    guideline that can teachers can use to develop lessons
    plans which integrate the use of technology and media
    (Smaldino, Lowther & Russell, 2008).
