Education is purposeful. It concern with the outcomes
that are expressed at several levels.

1. AIMS-The aims of a course is providing a student with a


thorough grounding in the basics of a subject.
2. GOALS -The needed of the concepts, skills, and values are
addressed by the curriculum providers for the learners.
3. OBJECTIVES - The learning outcomes of the course for
students to acquire in depth knowledge of a specialized topic where
appropriate. This need not necessarily be through a lecture course.
B. CONTENT
Direction that curriculum developers wish to take as a
result of participating in the curriculum. Students and
prospective students need an accurate account of course
content in order to enable them to decide whether the course
will be appropriate for their interests and choices.
C. LEARNING EXPERIENCES
These includes all instructional strategies that are
useful for the implementation of the curriculum.
These may appear in the form of activities, methods
of approaches that are useful in implementing the
curriculum or in teaching content.

D. EVALUATION
Evaluation is the determination of the value of
learning, instruction and the overall program.
Evaluation traditionally means assessing the learner
to see if they met a particular standard.

AND THE DEMANDS OF SOCIETY?

• Vision and mission are often reliable


representations of what school stands for, helping
keep the values of the school central to how it
operates. Schools need to balance parent interests,
the local community, misinformation and
information available online and constant pressures
on time and resources.

curriculum workers and developers in planning, developing, and
implementing a relevant and responsive curriculum for different
learners and school. They help everyone involved in an affected by
curriculum understand the context in which one is developed.
