• Narrative Essay – The writer tells a story, either
imagined or about real-life experience.
• Descriptive Essay – The writer of a descriptive essay
may describe a person, place, object, or even a
memory of special significance. It presents the
appearance, characteristics, qualities, or traits of
the subject of the essay.
• Expository Essay – An expository essay contains
text that presents factual information.

• Persuasive Essay – The purpose of a persuasive
essay is to convince the reader to accept a
particular point of view or recommendation
