DEFINITION
The Systematic Layout Planning It is an organized process for carrying out plant layouts, a tool that allows efficient use
of resources, organization of work areas and industry teams, optimization of processes, higher level of
competitiveness. For its development, the five basic elements are studied:

Tours (R)

Products (P)

Services (S)
Quantities (Q).

Time (T)
SLP PHASES
PRODUCT - QUANTITY ANALYSIS (P-Q)
It is a delicate phase in which it is necessary to anticipate which orders will be received in the future,
for which it is possible to start from the available history, from the marketing forecasts or the system
that is considered most appropriate.

Methods are used to carry out product-quantity analysis

◆ Pareto chart
◆ ABC analysis
◆ Grouping in ranges
◆ Volume and rotation
◆ Seasonality of production
PRODUCT TOUR R
It should reflect the sequence in which the necessary operations are performed to complete the
process.

ACTIONS: TYPES OF STUDY:

◆ Delete. ◆ Type A.

◆ Combine. ◆ Type B.

◆ Change. ◆ Type C.

◆ Improvement. ◆ Type D.

RELATIONAL TABLE OF
QUANTIFICATION OF PROXIMITY BETWEEN ACTIVITIES
ACTIVITIES
RELATIONAL DIAGRAM OF ROUTES AND
ACTIVITIES.
The objective of the diagram is to represent in a graph the route of the products, reflecting the
proximity needs of the activities. Symbology of the collected activities will be used for this:
Activity symbols, the numbering assigned to each activity in the study of product routes, and
the quantification of proximity between activities.

The recommended process is to first reflect the activities with a proximity value A and XX, and
then continue with the E and X and in the subsequent stage the rest of the values (I, O, U).

In each step we will try to make the lines as short as possible, and if necessary, the diagram
will be redrawn.
SPACE NEEDS
Once the routes that the products take and the relationship between the activities are known,
it is time to study the space necessary for each activity.

If the space is already known, an extrapolation of the results is possible. Otherwise, the
following calculation method can be used:

● Determination of spaces.

● Description of the activities.

RELATIONAL SPACE DIAGRAM
UT is obtained by graphically representing the spaces
necessary for each ir the relational diagram of routes
and activities.
INFLUENCING FACTORS
● Products raw materials
● Machiney and equipment
● Maintenace, movements and You wait

● Personnel, services and buildings.
