Introduction

● E-Commerce or Electronic Commerce is the buying and selling of goods, products,


or services over the internet.

● It offers consumers a more convenient way to shop for the products or services they
need without having to visit a retailer's physical location to make a purchase.

● simplifies sales and marketing as salespeople can complete sales online, saving time,
increasing revenue and enhancing efficiency.
What is a dropshipping website?

● Dropshipping is a method of retail where the store never physically holds the
products it sells. Instead, when the retailer sells one of the products it stocks on its
website, they buy the item from a third-party supplier who then ships the item
directly to the end customer. So, the online seller never actually sees, holds or ships
the item, they are just advertising it for the supplier and marketing up the price of the
product so they can make a percentage profit.
Functional Requirements

● Mobile responsive: In today’s era, the most number of users for the website are
coming through mobile devices especially smartphones.
● Relevant & useful content: helps increase traction of users.
● Product attributes: listing the characteristics of products efficiently helps user
purchasing easier.
● Minimum steps to make a purchase.
● Filters to find required products easily.
Non functional requirements
● Usability: How easily a user can achieve their target in a single page visit
● Security: required to deal with monetary transactions, users’ financial and sensitive
data.
● Performance: Faster website download speeds have been shown to increase visitor
retention and loyalty and user satisfaction.
● Maintainability: measures the ease and speed with which a system can be restored
to operational status after a failure occurs.
● Scalability : defines how the website can grow and increase its features and
functionality without impacting the performance of your website.
