SYNOPSIS
This is a story about the burning fighting spirit of
Belitong village children to change their destiny
through school, which they have to breathe hard. most
parents prefer to see their children working to help
their parents in the fields, or working as manual
laborers in PN Timah, rather than a school with no
clear future
SUMMARY
 The Laskar Pelangi children live in childhood happiness and
save their own dreams for tomorrow. But who can stand
against fate? Twelve years later, Ikal witnessed a change in the
fate of his friends that was truly unexpected. The fate really
becomes a very dark mystery. The Laskar Pelangi children
may have sky-high aspirations, but it is fate that determines the
next episode of their life. The fate may be the government's
lack of concern for the superior seeds of the nation's pearls that
must be crushed by the crush of the economy. They are the
hope of the nation's children who are forced to submit to the
crush of fate that should be pursued by a government that has
the mandate and power to advance education.

PLOT
This novel uses a forward plot, because in
the story there are no flashbacks so that it
makes the reader curious about what will
happen in the next story.
POINT OF VIEW

Using a single first-person

pronounce or use a preface, because
in novels the author uses the word
"me"
LANGUAGE STYLE

Here I do not know the style of language,

because there are words that are difficult to
understand or we can understand. This is
due to adjusting the language based on the
place that was notified, namely in Bangka
Belitong, an area that has not yet spread the
language.
Setting
Place: at school, under trees, in caves,
and at home.
Atmosphere: fun, sad, and tense.
Time: afternoon, evening and night.
novel's excellence
A. ORGANIZATION

In this novel in terms of

organization, the relationship
between one part and another is
harmonious and can arouse the
curiosity of the reader. Because in
the storytelling the content of the
novel is not complicated.
B. CONTENTS
 We can know the meaning of the struggle to live in
entangled poverty and courageous ideals in the story
of the main character of this book, Ikal, will lead us
with a kind of grace and charm so that we can look
inside ourselves with hope, so that we reject all our
own hopelessness and helplessness. Overall I think
this novel is good and constructive. This Laskar
Pelangi novel is also full of wisdom, da'wah, and a
very strong sense of friendship. His speech is fluid,
touching, enlightening, amusing, aiming at the center
of consciousness, and far from being patronizing.

C. LANGUAGE

The language used is not complicated,

even though there are words that we don't
know the meaning of and which we can't
understand, because the story adapts to the
Belitong area.
VALUE NOVELS
We can learn that the way of life we live, we must
continue to be grateful. We can know the meaning of the
struggle to live in poverty that entangles high ideals.
Basically poverty does not correlate/interact directly with
criticism or genius. There are so many lessons that we
can learn from the novel, such as religion, morals, a
beautiful first love, the tenacity of life, and even the
meaning of a destiny that we cannot predict. In addition,
we can imitate figures that can be imitated such as human
figures who are simple, honest, sincere, persistent, full of
dedication, tenacity, patience, trustworthiness, piety, and
so on.
NOVEL’S EXCELLENCE

 The superiority of this novel lies in the humanities

sentiment about the importance of school education and
at the same time the strength of religious morals. This
novel is a must-read for the younger generation who
are lulled by the ease of economics and no longer know
how to work hard to reach the future. This novel is also
a must read for educators, for the government who
always neglects the importance of education. The fruits
of this negligence are, now we are a nation that is often
ridiculed by other nations, because we are diligent in
producing people who have no quality.

WEAKNESSES OF NOVELS
In my opinion, the weakness of this novel lies in
the way the story ends. This novel should have
been closed in chapter 33: Anarkonisme, which
tells about the downfall of Babel (Bangka
Belitung) who used to be in turmoil with Timah.
Chapter 34: Gothic, I think is part of the confusing
story. Because the speaker of "I" suddenly
becomes someone else, and is no longer Ikal.
Chapter 34 is in vain. Like a painter who has to
stop applying paint to a painting that is already
perfect, but then becomes messy because of
unnecessary scratches.
