Entrance hymn: Christ be our light

• Longing for light, we wait in darkness

Longing for truth, we turn to You.
Make us Your own, Your holy people
Light for the world to see.
• Christ, be our light!
Shine in our hearts.
Shine through the darkness.
Christ, be our light!
Shine in Your church gathered today.
• Longing for peace, our world is troubled
Longing for hope, many despair.
Your word alone has pow'r to save us.
Make us your living voice.
• Christ, be our light!
Shine in our hearts.
Shine through the darkness.
Christ, be our light!
Shine in Your church gathered today.
The act of Contrition

O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended

Thee, and I detest all my sins because of thy just
punishments, but most of all because they
offend Thee, my God, who art all good and
deserving of all my love.
I firmly resolve with the help of Thy grace to sin no
more and to avoid the near occasion of sin. Amen.
The Apostles’ Creed
• I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of
Heaven and earth;
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son Our Lord,
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the
Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was
crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended into Hell; the third day He rose
again from the dead;
He ascended into Heaven, and is seated at
the right hand of God, the Father
almighty; from there He shall come to
judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy
Catholic Church, the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of
the body and life everlasting. Amen.

and obtain what they promise, through the same Christ
Our Lord. Amen.

Magnificat

•As the rain rushes down and the earth

blossoms forth,
And the wind caresses every tree;
You can hear the turtle dove singing all
throughout the land
Of the fair, young Virgin Mary.
1. My heart sings out with
praise of my Lord.
My soul rejoices in God my
Savior
For he has looked upon his
servant tenderly,
humble as she is.
2. From this day forth all people who
will ever be
Shall call me lovely and the happiest
of women!
For my Lord, the One who can do all
things
Has treated me wondrously!

sleep. Tend your sick ones, O loving Lord;
rest your weary ones, sooth your suffering

joyous ones. And all for your love’s sake.
