What is organization structure?

 An organization structure is a system that outlines how certain activities are


directed in order to achieve the goals of an organizations.
 These activities includes rules, roles and responsibilities.

An organization structure outlines how job tasks are formally


distributed, grouped and coordinated.

While planning the organizational structure, manager need to report


six key elements.

 Bureaucratic organization is a government agency or commercial
business with a heavily enforced chain of command and tightly regulated
operating procedures and It's an administrative system that relies on
policies, rules and hierarchy in both public and private sector
environments.

• It is an identifiable collection of groups, individuals,


departments or independent organization which are
separated by both time and distance but together by
work via using technology.

Characteristics:

 It is borderless organization located in cyberspace.


 Interchangeable patterns with a similar business culture.
 Combinational of additional resources to accomplish a
specific goal.
 Electroniccommunication through information
technology.

 Structure must facilitate the necessary tasks to accomplish


the organization's strategy

 Structure is a major "ingredient" in successful strategy
