INTRODUCTION TO WIRELESS USB

Wireless usb is a short range , high bandwidth wireless

radio communication protocol.
Wireless usb was designed to operate in the
3.1 to10.6 GHz frequency range.

Wireless usb performance is targeted at 480Mbps at 3
meters and 110Mbps at 10 meters.
 Wired USB
It supports concurrent operation of many
devices(multiple connection).
It Supports 127 physical devices.

It supports transfer of multiple data and

message streams between the host and
devices.
 Reasons For Wireless USB
 Wired Issues
 Wires are restrictive.
 Multiple wires can be a hassle.

 The host initiates all the data traffic among the devices connected
to it, allotting time slots and data bandwidth to each device
connected. These relationships are referred to as clusters.

for optimal signal.

 Will it really catch on?
