1. Comparision with Negotiable
Instrument Act 1881 and practical
procedure:

It’s a special law.


Deals with section 138, 138A, 140, 141.
Bill of exchange, promissory notes and cheque.
After 1994 cheque dishonour itself become an
offense.

It’s a cheque dishonour suit.
Amount of cheque is 9 crore.
Dishonour on the ground of insufficiency.
