    3.0 LAND ANIMALS

    ▪ must go through the means prescribed by syarak just like any other
    scholars
    ▪ In the Hanafi school, slaughtering means cutting the veins
    - throat vein
    - mari’ vein
    - two blood vessels of the left and right of throat
     necessary by mentioning the name of Allah
    ▪ Surah Al-An’am verse 121
    ▪ Allah mentions that consuming animals that are not mentioned in
    the name of Allah as a wickedness.
    ▪ If forget to mention Allah’s name, it is not mentioned as a wickedness
    ▪ Zikr can be done orally or by heart.
    ▪ Surah Al-Kahfi verse 28
    ▪ Al-Munkhaniqah (an animal that dies from being strangled, either by
    squeezing).
    ▪ Al-Mauqudzah (animals that die from being beaten with sticks and so
    on).
    ▪ Al-Mutaraddiyah (animals that fall from a high place to death).
    ▪ An-Nathihah (an animal that is beheaded by another animal to
    death).
    ▪ Maa akalas sabu (an animal that is attacked by wild animals and
    eaten part of his flesh to death)
    ▪ Amphibious or al-barmai
    ▪ Madzhab Hanafi and Syafi'i, this amphibious animal law is illegal.
    ▪ Al-Khobaits or something disgusting.
    ▪ Surah Al-A’raf verse 157
