Introduction
• healthy lifestyle consists of eating the right
foods, staying away from toxic substances
like cigarettes or illicit drugs, and
exercising on a consistent basis.
• Living a healthy lifestyle also requires
minimizing stress and having solid
relationships

Introduction
• it helps people to feel and look good, reduces
the risk of disease, improves the effects of
ageing, and decreases the chance of becoming
overweight.
• Exercising, eating well, losing weight and
quitting smoking are keys to living a healthy
lifestyle.
• Proper diet and exercise help to increase mood
and decrease anxiety, keep weight balanced,
and keep the body functioning properly.

• Health is the complete well being of an


individual; physical, emotional, mental,
spiritual and financial wellness and not just
he absent of disease.

• Wine or Beer: Which Is Better for You?
• It's well known that moderate levels of
alcohol have heart-healthy benefitsany
kind of alcohol. The key word, though, is
moderate, whether it's beer, wine, or the
hard stuff. Recommended levels of alcohol
raise "good" (HDL) cholesterol and help
decrease blood clots, which cause heart
attacks and strokes

• The American Heart Association (AHA) recommends
that men have less than two drinks a day and women no
more than one drink ." According to the AHA, "one drink"
means 12 ounces of beer, 4 ounces of wine, 1.5 ounces
of 80-proof hard liquor, or 1 ounce of 100-proof liquor i.e
men </= 21 unit/week , female </= 14unit/ week
• Calculation of Alcohol cotent of drinks; 1unit of alcohol
=10g of pure alcohol esply ethanol
• A 250mls glass of beer containing 12.5% Alcohol= 3unit'
. standard strenght beer - 1pint </= 2unit. very strong
lager - 1 liter can = 4unit. Spirit (wisky, gin) 1 UK Rub
measure approx 30ml= 7unit. wine- standard glass=
1unit
