Anna:

Laura! How are you? It's been a long time since we last met.
Laura: Oh, hi Anna! I have got a new job now and is going great. How about
you?
Anna: I have been so busy with the new business that I have not had the time to
do much else.
Laura: What is that?
Anna: Small business, a coffee shop.
Laura: Sounds cool! Don't forget to invite me to your soft opening.
Anna: Sure, please come.
Sarah: Hey, Jasmine. How about baking a cake when we get home?
Jasmine: That's a brilliant idea! We better buy some ingredients then, while we
are here.
Sarah: Well, I guess we need sugar, butter, flour, and icing sugar.
Jasmine: We also need some eggs, chocolate chips, and a chocolate flake to
sprinkle on top.
Sarah: Yes, I nearly forgot about that. I'll get the dairy ingredients and you'll get
the others.
Jasmine: Alright! Let's do it. See you at the cashier.
Sarah: See you there shortly.
Doctor: Halo, what seems to be the problem?
Chloe: Since yesterday I have a really bad cough and also got a headache.
Doctor: How long have you been having all these symptoms?
Chloe: I have them about three days now, but since yesterday it becomes a lot
worse.
Doctor: Well, it sounds to me that you have got flu. You must take 2 aspirin with
water every six hours. Also, you must drink lots of fluids.
Chole: Thank you doctor for your time.
Doctor: You're welcome. Book another appointment if you are still sick next
week.
Waitress: Hello! Can I get you both any drinks and meals?
Erick: Yes. I would like an iced coffee, please.
Olla: I like to have a green tea latte.
Erick: What do you want to eat, Olla?
Olla: I think I will have the steak with fries and mixed vegetables.
Erick: Me too.
Waitress: How do you want the steak cooked rare, medium, or well done?
Olla: Medium for both of us.
Waitress: Your meals will be here shortly.
Andi: Hey bro! I am glad you decided to come over to my house to study for
our upcoming exam.
Jack: Yes, the sociology test seems to be very difficult. I have read all the
chapters, but not studied the notes from the lecture.
Andi: I have studied all the materials.
Jack: You should be adequately prepared.
Andi: I'm still not confident about my performance this Friday.
Jack: Let's do a review starting from chapter one and then we will work our way
up through chapter three. Does that sound ok to you?
Andi: That sounds like a good idea. Let's start!
Freddie: What are you cooking? it smells so good.
Michelle: I am baking cakes. This is your favorite carrot cake.
Freddie: It looks really yummy. And I see pancake over there too.
Michelle: Yes, that pancake is for my friend, Angie. Don't touch it.
Freddie: Alright! Can I have a piece of carrot cake right now?
Michelle: You don't want to wait until after dinner?
Freddie: It looks inviting and I don't want to wait. Can I?
Michelle: Ok, go ahead.
Bobby: Hey, Luke. What are you doing here?
Luke: I'm looking for an apartment to rent.
Bobby: Me too. I need to find an apartment closer to school. I thought you were
going to stay at the dormitory.
Luke: I still have not decided. I'm looking at different options to find the
cheapest lodging.
Bobby: It is not easy to find an apartment. I have been looking at the ads in the
newspaper for two weeks, and I still have not found anything yet.
Luke: Really? Is it that difficult to find an apartment?
Bobby: No, it is just that everything I like so far is too expensive and way
beyond my reach.
Luke: Oh, I see. Let's go in and take a look at this one.
Hans: I've been thinking about going out on a picnic since the last weekend.
What do you say?
Alice: Really? It's a good idea. I'm up for it. Outdoors would be great. Do you
have a location in mind?
Hans: How about Tava? It's a relatively remote and just a three-hour drive. We
can stay a night there.
Alice: The location sound exciting. Can we cook our own food? Because that's a
key ingredient of any picnic.
Hans: I'm not sure about it. We can carry the raw material.
Alice: Ok. Let's ask a few more friends.
Hans: Let's speak to others today and get the final consent by tomorrow.
Alice: Sounds good.
Lala: The paper was long, wasn't it?
Jess: Yes, unusually long.
Lala: How did you do?
Jess: So so. I wish I had timed myself better. I left questions worth 10 marks
unattempted. How about you?
Lala: I started off well. But this year's reading comprehension passages were
just too tough for me, and it completely derailed my time management.
Jess: So, did you too fail to complete the paper?
Lala: I did somehow manage to complete but I guess I made quite a few
mistakes.
Jess: Well, can't do much now. Let's hope for the best and get ready for the next
one.
Lala: You're right. Few more hard days to go.
Ben: Hey Harry. There is a musical concert in the part. Do you want to go see the
band play?
Harry: Sure! Let's go. I want to enjoy this evening, Ben.
Ben: You will. There will be good Country music.
Harry: It sounds like fun. I have to say that country melodies can be quite enticing. I
can listen to them all day long.
Ben: My favorite is Rock and Roll music. But I like country music too.
Harry: Cool! Let's get your car and we go.
Ben: Alright!
