Conference:
A conference has a more general theme with a focus on presentations and lecture.
They can number anywhere between fifty attendees to thousands of attendees.
Most prestigious forms of event.
Opportunity to present your work as a talk or as a poster.
• Researchers present their ideas and data in a visual format. Poster session, you
can walk around and look at each of the different posters and stop to chat or to
ask questions of the presenter as well.
Conference:
• Conference may be held for any topic and does not necessarily need to be
academic in its nature.
• It offers overlapping sessions so that participants can choose the specific details
they want to learn about.
• Sometimes forcing difficult decisions between two simultaneous discussion
sessions of interest.
• The purpose of a conference is to bring together a large group of people
interested in a given topic for discussion and consideration of the various
components of that subject.

discuss or present information on a particular topic for the purpose of bettering
relations and information between the organization or market the individual
represent.

Seminar:
• Seminars are a great place to test out some new ideas or theories that you've
been thinking about but aren't 100% Workshop.
• Usually only a day or two long and are dedicated to discussing a specific topic.
• Less structured than a conference but more formal.
• Find people from different departments and fields attending workshops together.
• Best workshops have a specific, action-oriented purpose, and aim to generate
some concrete answers to current problems in the field.
Seminar:

Seminars small group of students meeting regularly under guidance of tutor ,


Professor to exchange information, discuss theories etc.
• Seminar is a format of instruction that may occur over several ongoing meeting
times.
• Seminar presenters will use a variety of strategies including demonstrations,
visual aids, lecturing and interactive activities to ensure master of material .
Symposium:

• Similarly to a workshop, a symposium tends to focus on a particular issue rather


than a more general theme.
• Number of experts will come together in order to present their ideas and papers
to one another.
• Symposium is typically completed in a single day.
Symposium:
• Unlike conference and seminar it involves the presentation of original research by
researcher themselves.
• Symposium presents the latest research findings on a given topic, while a seminar
is less focused on research findings, emphasizing the practical applications of
current research instead.
• Often held by universities ,Colleges, organization and private, public nonprofit
groups.
Plagiarism:
• Plagiarism is the representation of another author’s language, thoughts, ideas, or
expressions as one’s own original work.
• Plagiarism is considered a violation of academic integrity and a branch of
journalistic ethics.
• In educational contexts, there are differing definitions of plagiarism depending on
the institution.
Types of Plagiarism:

• Types of plagiarism deal with the wrongful copying of the text of another author
without mentioning the source. This copying of a particular text as one’s original
writing is a serious offense.
• There are different types of plagiarism:
1. Direct plagiarism
2. Mosaic plagiarism
3. Self plagiarism
4. Accidental plagiarism

should make his content utterly free of any cloning from any other published
work.

or misquotations. It is a great way to remove further chances of accidental
plagiarism or any other anti-plagiarism stances. Plagiarism can result in grave
consequences such as affecting academic career, or the plagiarist may have face
punishments for his actions.
