Teacher factors:

• Teachers are the main role in the successful implementation of curriculum

changes, some highly qualified teachers enable them to compensate for
poor quality material and sources , and some may not be able to make
effective use of materials and resources , no matter how good they are.

• The competence of a teacher may differ from that of another teacher , it

based on:
• 1- language proficiency.
• 2- Teaching experience.
• 3-skill and expertise.
• 4-training and qualifications
• 5-Teaching style.
• 5-Beliefs and principles.
• It is important when planning a
new educational language program,
the trainers must be  aware of the
teacher`s levels and make sure that
the program achieves its goals and
influences the teachers.
• Otherwise, the program will not
be considered successful if
it doesn’t achieve its goals.
5.Learner Factors:
• The learners are the second and the
important part of the curriculum
development project, so it is necessary to
collect and know the levels and all
information about the students , such as:
• Learner`s background
• Learner`s expectation
• Learner`s beliefs
• Learner`s preferred learning style.
THE EFFECTIVENESS OF A LANGUAGE LEARNERS HAVE THEIR OWN AGENDAS IN
PROGRAM WILL BE DICTATED AS THE LANGUAGE LESSONS THEY ATTEND.
ATTITUDES AND EXPECTATIONS OF THE THESE AGENDAS , AS MUCH AS THE
LEARNERS AS BY THE SPECIFICATIONS OF TEACHER`S OBJECTIVES , DETERMINE
THE OFFICIAL CURRICULUM . WHAT LEARNERS TAKE FROM ANY GIVEN
TEACHING ENCOUNTER.
• Learners may affect the
outcomes in unexpected ways.
For example, a textbook or set
of materials may be engaging,
at a suitable level , and provide
a lot of useful practice but not
be appreciated by students
because they fail to see a links
between the book and an
examination they are worked
toward.
6. Adopting factors:
• Any attempt to introduce a new curriculum or set of
materials must take into account the relative ease or
difficulty of introducing change into the system.

• These changes may affect on the teacher`s pedagogical

values and beliefs and their understanding of the
nature of language or second language or their
classroom practices so some changes may be readily
accepted while the others might be resisted.
A language teaching approach that requires teachers to adopt new roles in the
classroom, such as : needs analyst , resources person , and language tutor .

A methodology that can readily be turned into teaching materials and textbooks
will generally be easier to adopt than others : for this reason:

Communicative Language Teachings more widely adopted as a teaching

approach than the Natural Approach .

The support networks available in promoting or explaining an innovation maybe
