On 15th july, I was well prepared to go for the Inter – School Story Writing Competition. It was organized in the
westminster school. I reached there along with other participants from my school.
After dividing all the participants into groups seated in different rooms, they started the competition. I was well –
prepared and luckily the topic was closely related to what I had prepared. I was able to finish the job well in time.
After that, we all were taken to the auditorium for the results. After waiting for 2 hours, the started announcing the
results. When it was our group’s turn, I had butterflies in my stomach. I was praying to god with my eyes closed and
suddenly, my name was called as the second runner – up.
As I climbed the stage, It turned out that there was another boy with the same name who was also coming to
receive the prize. It was an awkward situation. We both waited eagerly for the clarification; later, it turned out that
the prize was meant for me when they clarified the name of the school. I felt bad for the other boy, but at the same
time, I thanked god for my win. Surely, it was winning with a twist.
