The Globe Study (around, 2000)

Nine dimensions that describe differences in national

cultures. These dimensions are power distance,
uncertainty avoidance, performance orientation,
assertiveness, future orientation, humane orientation,
institutional collectivism, in-group collectivism, and
gender egalitarianism.

Let us look at Globe findings one more time, where is India? No where here!

The Globe Study (around, 2000)

Limitations/Challenges of both Hofstede and Globe

1. Failed to explain findings related to India! Why are

there Indians CEOs in tech giants?

2. Why do Indians excel in education, critical thinking,

reasoning and science despite being religious?
30% of the Fortune 500 Companies have Indians
as their CEOs. As per the 2015 studies, one- third of
all the engineers in Silicon Valley (USA) are from
India and 10% of world's high tech company CEO's
are all Indians.
